Three assessments (initial, intermediate and final) are scheduled:
- Initial assessment and positioning: It allows us to determine the trainee's skills upon entering the training program. The placement process takes various forms: tests, self-assessment questionnaires. The trainers then make the assessments, positioning the trainee against the basic skills framework. The evaluation is supplemented by an exploratory interview, which allows us to understand the trainee's needs and objectives. This interview focuses on the following aspects: language skills, previous training, professional experience, transferable skills related to a potential career plan, the purpose of the training, and any prior or parallel steps taken by the trainee. This individual interview assesses the gaps between the trainee's existing skills and the skills required to achieve the objectives, and allows us to develop a personalized training plan.
- Mid-term assessment: Regular assessments throughout the course to monitor learners' progress and adjust teaching accordingly.
- Final evaluation: At the end of the course, a final assessment is organised by the presentation of a professional French diploma for sectors in tension, valid for life, at level A1, A2, B1 or B2 CECRL.
Our approach is action-oriented, grounded in a constructivist paradigm, and elevates task-based learning to a level where the classroom and the outside world are integrated into authentic communicative practices. Furthermore, the approach emphasizes the learner's capacity for action. It fosters the organization of learning through realistic and engaging scenarios that span multiple lessons and culminate in a final task or project involving collaborative work.
The communicative approach emphasizes the ability to communicate in a foreign language by taking into account the communication situation. It thus complements the actional approach which requires carrying out tasks in a very specific language context.
