FRENCH DIPLOMA IN TOURISM, HOSPITALITY AND RESTAURANTS

Valid for life, the Professional French Diploma in the Tourism, Hospitality and Catering sectors assesses the level achieved in written comprehension and expression as well as in oral comprehension and expression through the accomplishment of professional tasks: reservations, customer advice, guided tours.

For who ?

This diploma meets the need for training and certification in professional French for non-French speaking staff in restaurants, hotels, travel agencies, in order to reach a French-speaking clientele or develop in a French-speaking market.

This diploma is aimed at professionals in the hotel, tourism and catering industry whose mission is to welcome customers. For example, receptionists, ground handling agents, travel advisors, tour operators, tour guides, entertainers, waiters and waiters.

Activities : Take an order, welcome a customer, respond to customer comments on a forum, present a guided tour plan, write promotional text for a tourist offer, explain a map and advise a customer.

Business French offers three Professional French Diplomas Tourisme – Hôtellerie – Restauration, from level A2 to B2.

Diplomas registered in the Inventory

All our diplomas have been registered in the Inventory of CNCP – National Commission for Professional Certification. It lists the certifications and authorizations corresponding to transversal skills exercised in a professional situation. To know more.

Level

The Professional French diploma in Tourism-Hospitality-Catering A2 certifies a basic skill in French: the holder of this diploma can understand and express himself to carry out communication tasks in very simple situations of social life and the most usual professional.

 

Skills assessed

Understanding and processing information :
The candidate can understand the essential elements of administrative documents (passport, identity card) and customer messages.
He/She can complete usual professional documents and write simple response emails to requests for information, confirmation or cancellation, in predictable situations.
The candidate can understand the essentials of simple requests and short, predictable messages, face to face or on the telephone in the most common reception situations.

Interact orally : The candidate can, very simply, welcome a client, describe a tourist product, exchange factual information in a limited number of practical and everyday situations.

Level

The Professional French diploma in Tourism-Hospitality-Catering B1 certifies proficiency in French independent level, which allows the user to understand and express themselves in the common situations in social and professional life.
The holder of this diploma can carry out acts of common professional communication in a current or unpredictable context.

 

Skills assessed

Understanding and processing information :
The candidate can understand the essential elements of professional documents intended for customers (menus, brochures, plans, activity programs, descriptions of tourist services) and messages from customers.
He/She can complete usual professional documents and write tailor-made proposals, particularly in response to requests for customer services, and provide personalized responses to customer comments.
The candidate can understand the essence of requests and messages from customers or service providers, face to face or on the telephone, in routine or unpredictable situations.

Interact orally :
The candidate can present a tourist offer in a personalized and argued manner,

Tourism – Hospitality – Catering B2

Level

The Professional French diploma in Tourism-Hospitality-Catering B2 certifies proficiency in French independent level, which allows the user to communicate effectively in a wide range of professional communication situations.
The holder of this diploma can carry out, orally and in writing, tasks ofprofessional communication, in theset of standard situationsd of his professional environment, including those which involve a certain management of the unexpected.

 

Skills assessed

Understanding and processing information :
The candidate can understand specialized descriptions relating to the field of tourism (guides, specialized press, specialized works: history, geography, architecture, etc.)
He/She can understand and respond to complaints by providing a personalized solution.
He/She can write the presentation text for a tourist product to promote it.

Interact orally :
The candidate is able to present information in a structured, attractive and original way, to persuade and captivate their client or audience.
