The EssentiElles project

EssentiElles is a certified action focused on women's empowerment. The programme supports 48 women in precarious situations, migrants or newcomers, in their social and professional integration.

Deployed across 4 sites (Franconville, Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône, Argenteuil, Aulnay-sous-Bois), the programme combines French language learning, digital skills, employment support and complementary wellbeing workshops.

Each participant follows a 210-hour pathway over 6 months: 144h of French, 46h of digital/IT skills, 10h of professional support and 10h of complementary workshops.

Project objectives

Social & professional integration

Facilitate participants' social and professional integration in their host society.

French language skills

Strengthen French language skills and prepare for TEF and DFP certifications.

Digital skills

Develop digital and professional skills (IT, digital tools, CIP). Reduce the digital divide and prevent misuse.

Employment support

Support towards sustainable employment through local partnerships (France Travail, associations, companies). Help with business creation and career exploration.

Republican values

Promote Republican values (secularism) and gender equality. Awareness and rights education, fighting violence against women.

Women's empowerment

Create safe spaces for listening, speaking and sharing. Build self-esteem, confidence and autonomy for each participant.

Target audience

  • 48 women on social and professional integration pathways
  • Women with language difficulties (A1 to B1 levels) or needing literacy support
  • Adult women: victims or former victims of violence, isolated, precarious, unemployed
  • Newcomers, refugees, RSA recipients (no diploma requirement)

  • Wellbeing, self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Expression, sharing and team-building workshops
  • Awareness of women's rights
