What is the CLOE Certification?
The CLOE certification assesses oral and written language skills used in professional or extra-professional environments. It covers a wide range of work situations: office, field, specific sectors…
Both the oral interview and the computer-based test include questions oriented towards the professional field (chosen at registration).
Validity
The CLOE Certificate is valid for life. If the target result is achieved, a CLOE Certificate is issued; otherwise, the candidate receives a results statement.
Audience
Employees, self-employed, job-seekers, volunteers (adults) wishing to validate their skills in the target language. Apply independently or at the end of a training course.
Prerequisites
None to begin training. The certificate is issued from level A2 according to the objective defined upstream and your professional project.
Placement
An initial test conducted by ABC FORMATION sets the CEFR level objective (A1→C2) in line with the target profession. We tailor the programme to bring you to your goal.

Reading Comprehension
Ability to read and understand professional texts, articles, emails and documents in English.
Listening Comprehension
Understanding conversations, presentations and audio messages in professional English.
Written Expression
Writing emails, reports and professional documents in clear, structured English.
Oral Expression
Oral communication in English during interviews, meetings and professional presentations.
Written test (computer-based)
Average duration: ~50 minutes

Notifications and key steps
- Session creation: receipt of TestWe account (asynchronous monitoring).
- Receipt of code, connection instructions and a simplified guide.
- Connection test + CLOE mini practice test.
- On the scheduled date: email confirming the test is live; connect and start.
- Variable duration depending on questions and response time.
- Technical checks, ID verification then start the test.
- Active monitoring; stay in webcam frame. At the end: schedule oral exam.
- Choose your time slot via an online calendar.
Oral test (15 to 20 min)
At the scheduled time, the candidate connects to the video conferencing tool via the link received and presents their ID. The examiner presents the three stages; content is adapted to the candidate's profile.

The written part (RC and WE) takes place online from home or at our premises.
Video oral interview
The oral assessment (LC and OE) is conducted via video conference with a certified examiner.
