FRENCH DIPLOMA IN TOURISM, HOSPITALITY AND RESTAURANTS

Content and objectives of the training

This initiative aims to create a chain of successes culminating in the attainment of a recognized professional qualification and digital skills, thereby facilitating the inclusion and social integration of newcomers through employment. The proposed projects build upon the CIR (Integration Contract) and focus on the central goal of sustainable professional integration for the target population. This initiative extends the language learning programs already established when the CIR was signed, utilizing innovative methods to address the challenges faced by newly arrived non-literate individuals who may not have reached level A1 after completing the CIR training, or to enable them to reach levels A2 and B1 in conjunction with the CIR.

  • Three assessments (initial, intermediate and final) are scheduled:
Initial assessment and positioning: It allows us to determine the trainee's skills upon entering the training program. The placement process takes various forms: tests, self-assessment questionnaires. The trainers then make the assessments, positioning the trainee against the basic skills framework. The evaluation is supplemented by an exploratory interview, which allows us to understand the trainee's needs and objectives. This interview focuses on the following aspects: language skills, previous training, professional experience, transferable skills related to a potential career plan, the purpose of the training, and any prior or parallel steps taken by the trainee. This individual interview assesses the gaps between the trainee's existing skills and the skills required to achieve the objectives, and allows us to develop a personalized training plan.
  • Mid-term assessment: Regular assessments throughout the course to monitor learners' progress and adjust teaching accordingly.
  • Final evaluation: At the end of the course, a final assessment is organised by the presentation of a professional French diploma for sectors in tension, valid for life, at level A1, A2, B1 or B2 CEFR.

Objectives:

  • Access to employment: certifying identified skills improves employment opportunities for this group, meeting the demands of economic stakeholders and boosting their integration into the professional environment. The objective is to implement a series of collective and individual actions (technical, practical, and theoretical) enabling each participant to develop skills, improve their language proficiency, embrace the values of the French Republic, and, for some, develop a career plan.
